Antwerp is acknowledged and renowned worldwide as the general cargo port where human know-how, professionalism and expertise are considered to be of crucial importance.
The fact that the port of Antwerp is an inland port is an important asset for general cargo, especially in combination with the hinterland connections. All PSA Antwerp terminals therefore have a rail connection and the necessary installations to handle barges and coasters with great expertise.
In order to further develop its activities, PSA formed a joint venture company with the Nova Natie group called Nova & Hesse-Noord Natie Stevedoring NV (NHS) in 2000.
