The Project Management Officer has had some involvement in projects or similar experience to support the effective delivery of PSA Antwerp’s large-scale programs.  You will play a key role using your creativity to help design and maintain our project portfolio dashboard.  With your excellent planning and organization skills, you will support the project managers in our fast-moving environment to help capture their project data for reporting and review. The Project Management Officer will also support in the active monitoring and trend analysis of programs and projects, surfacing issues and risks across the portfolio and facilitating governance to ensure informed timely decision making. 

Depending on your ambitions, you will have the opportunity to develop your project management skills and to take on and follow up small projects.. 

This role is part of the MD’s Office and reports to the PSAA PMO Lead. 

Accountabilities:

1. Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Dashboard: 

  • Help visualize and design Project Portfolio Management Dashboard
  • Organize  workshops  to define what needs to be seen on project dashboard and follow up to show the results.
  • Generate and distribute reports, as required

2. Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Solution: 

  • Organize and follow up workshops to define what we need for a “fit for purpose” project portfolio management solution.
  • “Scan the market” to look for different project portfolio management solutions and summarize findings for review for PMO lead and project manager community.
  • Support in the selection and implementation of an appropriate solution (tool) that can “grow” as our organization gains experience and understanding of the solution.
  • Set up and manage the parameters and set up initial and monitor ongoing project portfolio data within the PPM solution.
  • Organize and follow up on the training of the PPM solution and grow towards being the first line of contact for questions regarding the use of the tool or interpretation of data. 

3. Project Manager collaboration: 

  • Support project manager community to provide timely, correct and complete project information and organize and follow up on project manager meetings, as necessary
  • Support PMO Lead to perform regular project health checks, monitor project progress and look at trend analysis.
  • Support project manager community to follow appropriate governance processes and procedures. 
  • Managing and monitoring progress on small projects to ensure they are on track and that issues or risks are escalated

Profiel

Education:

  • Master’s degree with maximum of  3  years work experience

Skills:

  • Organized and structured in approach
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to visualize creative ideas
  • Strong  communicator
  • Dynamic and self-motivated
  • Willingness to get involved in all areas and to innovate new ways of working
  • Good knowledge of MS office, SharePoint and Power BI (or willingness to learn)

Languages:

  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English
