PSA | MPET | ATS launches new Employer Branding Campaign at the Tall Ships Races

23 September 2022 | Have you heard of the Tall Ships Races? Hosted by the City of Antwerp for the seventh time in 2022, this stunning event saw about 850,000 people admiring a fleet of more than 40 traditional sailing ships from 12 different countries. These include some of the largest sailing vessels that are often referred to as the “Cathedrals of the Sea”. As one of the main sponsors, PSA | MPET | ATS used this opportunity to launch its new employer branding campaign, built around its new highly interactive website that takes you on a 360-degree journey through the Port of Antwerp.

During the Tall Ships Races, PSA Belgium hosted an information stand together with its joint venture partners MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET) and Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS), in the Port of Antwerp. This igloo shaped tent was located right in the middle of the activities, in front of the iconic Antwerp maritime museum “het MAS”, otherwise known as the Museum at the Stream, and close to the quays where the ships were moored.

Passers-by could talk to representatives from the three organisations as well as interact with the touch screen televisions and tablet computers to visit PSA Belgium’s new high-tech website (www.grootgrotergroots.be). Not only does the website announce the 40 different vacant job positions that are currently available at PSA Belgium, MPET, and ATS, but it also provides information on where the next recruitment events will take place. Upon visiting the website, visitors may also choose to take a breathtaking 360-degree virtual visit of the Port of Antwerp.

PSA Belgium Head of HR and Communications Ivan De Maere praised the new recruitment tool and corresponding campaign, and said: “During the Tall Ships Races, the new website did much more than just attract people to our stand and entice them to look around. It also gave our representatives plenty to talk about. It is much easier to explain what PSA exactly does to people who are new to the port when you have a scalable map of the port in front of you. This online portal will be an extremely useful employer branding and recruitment tool for years to come, not only for people searching for a job on their computer, tablet or smart phone, but also during recruitment events.”

The organisers of the Tall Ships Races, the city of Antwerp, the Port of AntwerpBruges, and Sail Training International (STI) have recently announced that the event will return to Antwerp in 2026 and 2030.
