Latest News

22 september 2023 - As part of their ongoing environmental commitment, PSA Antwerp, MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET), and Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS) are actively participating in the Port Cleanup initiative at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. From September 18th to September 26th, multiple teams of dedicated employees will be on a mission to clear litter from no fewer than five locations, including Park Spoor Noord, the Galgeschoor nature reserve, and the verge of Sint-Antoniusweg.

23 August 2023 - State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Nicole De Moor today undertook a half-day internship at PSA Belgium as part of the Voka Summer Internship. The State Secretary not only visited the North Sea Terminal but also got a tour of the yard of project Emerald.

18 August 2023 - Flanders is characterized by its bridges and viaducts that interconnect the cities and their surroundings. During every journey through Antwerp, Brussels, or Ghent, you inevitably encounter these striking structures. The Port of Antwerp boasts its own masterpiece: our very own "Bridge of K869." In the context of Project Emerald, the comprehensive renewal of the Europe Terminal, the bridge has recently undergone several noteworthy changes. Both the truck flow, the transport of empty containers, and security have been adjusted.

Stuffing and Stripping

Containers can be stuffed and stripped by specialized personnel at all our terminals. Stuffing and stripping can either take place after delivery onto quayside or directly from the carrier into the container. In the latter case, significant savings can be realized, particularly when loading oversized cargo. It also avoids an additional special transport of the loaded flat. Even when stuffing containers without oversized dimensions, additional transport of containers in the port can be avoided in many cases, as stuffing takes place at the export terminal itself. The same benefits apply to the stripping of import containers

PSA Antwerp and its hinterland partners offer an extensive network of hinterland connections bookable via a new Inland CY concept. As such, containers routed via the terminals at quay 1742, quay 913, quay 869 and quay 420 can be directly delivered to and from a selected number of inland terminals.
With this concept PSA meets the increasing demand for integrated pre- and on carriage services directly from our deepsea terminals. This full service offering guarantees a hassle-free transport of containers to the hinterland and provides an important contribution to more efficient, more reliable and 'greener' supply chains.
