On Tuesday 23 April, we welcomed special visitors to our headquarters in the context of the ceremony of the Dennie Lockefeer Chair Thesis Prize. PSA has been a proud sponsor of this Chair for many years, established in memory of the late Dennie Lockefeer, a visionary within the world of our port.

Congratulations again to the laureates Quan van der Knokke, Anton Smidts and Audrey Clarebout for their strong and inspiring theses!

The Dennie Lockefeer Chair was established with the aim of encouraging young academics to conduct research on topics linked to inland shipping. Since 2023, the subject of the prize has been broadened to include theses on intermodality (road, inland shipping, rail). Every year, a prize is awarded to a master's thesis of high scientific value, which also considers the social and economic relevance - entirely in line with Dennie Lockefeer's vision.

With this support, we as PSA continue to contribute to the development of knowledge and innovation in the sector. And we are betting on the future: our youth.
