PSA & MPET employees raise €10,000 for charity
In June, our employees enthusiastically came together to organize a wide range of fundraising activities for charity—and with great success: a record total of €10,000 was raised.
For the third consecutive year, PSA held a Regional Charity Fortnight, during which colleagues from PSA entities across Europe and the Americas launched as many initiatives as possible over two weeks to collect funds and goods for children and youth in vulnerable situations. Employees from PSA Antwerp, MPET, and PSA Zeebrugge organized around ten different activities—from selling croque monsieurs and ice cream to hosting a raffle and a successful auction. Colleagues could also donate part of their salary, and large quantities of hygiene products were collected for Moeders voor Moeders in Antwerp, as well as clothing and toys for Mama’s voor Kinderen in De Panne.
The enthusiasm among colleagues was so great that the Charity Fortnight in Belgium was extended by an additional week. And it paid off: our employees raised an impressive €4,862.82. This amount was then doubled and rounded up by PSA & MPET to reach the final total of €10,000.
The funds will be distributed among several partner organizations of PSA & MPET that support children and youth in challenging circumstances in and around Antwerp and Zeebrugge.
