25 January 2024 –  At PSA | MPET | ATS, safety is paramount. Always. That's why we organize a Safety Week every year, highlighting the importance of a safe and healthy work environment.

The HSSE team of PSA | MPET | ATS embarked on an inspiring 'road trip' from January 16 to 24, visiting all our locations: Noordzee Terminal, Europa Terminal, MPET, PSA Breakbulk, PSA Zeebrugge, and the headquarters in Antwerp. Under the motto "Valuing Lives," safety took center stage during this week, with a focus on continually improving safety policies.

During the Safety Week, we introduced a new theme regarding seatbelt usage as part of our internal 'Tim Tegoei' safety campaign. Employees had the opportunity to sit in a straddle carrier chair equipped with the new four-point seatbelt. A collaboration with Responsible Young Drivers resulted in a challenging slalom course and a crash test simulator, vividly illustrating the importance of wearing seatbelts.

Interactive workshops featuring a fall and trip course emphasized the significant role of order and cleanliness for a safe work environment. Cameron Thorpe, CEO of PSA Belgium, participated in the Safety Walk at the Noordzee Terminal, engaging with dockworkers about their safety concerns and insights.

To express gratitude to the employees for their active participation, food trucks were present at all locations. The Safety Week once again underscores that safety always has the highest priority. A sincere thank you to all employees for their dedication and contribution. Together, we continue to strive for a safe work environment, as safety begins with each one of us.
