27 June 2023 - Between 19 and 22 June 2023, the traffic safety institute Vias' rollover simulator visited the MPET (MSC PSA European Terminal) and PSA terminals in the port of Antwerp. The action with the rollover simulator is intended to clearly underline the importance of seat belt wearing and is one of the seven themes of the larger safety campaign 'TeGoei' (Do it Right).
22 June 2023 - Maarten Van der Straeten, a Supply Chain Management student at the Karel de Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp, won the PSA Award 2023 on 22 June. He was able to convince both the jury and the public with his undergraduate thesis 'Closing problems'. For the second year in a row, the award ceremony took place aboard the Flandria boat 'Festina Lente'.
14 June 2023 - On Sunday 11 June, the leading Antwerp terminal operator MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET) presented a cheque worth €5,600 to the Belgian non-profit HOPE Benefit. This happened during the charity organisation’s Kids and Family Sunday at the summer bar ‘Bar Brial’ in Mortsel. HOPE Benefit aims to give people with an illness or any kind of setback a new purpose in life. The donation fits perfectly with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that MPET aims to demonstrate every day.
7 June 2023 - We are proud to announce that our video about the MPET (MSC PSA European Terminal) retirement celebrations in May 2022 has been awarded! At the Video Experience Day on Tuesday 6 June in Kinepolis Brussels, the aftermovie won the top prize in the category (Digital) Event.
If you retire in the port, it does not go unnoticed. A guard of honor of dozens of straddle carriers is lined up in a long line of several hundred meters. With great respect for the colleagues who are retiring, a deafening honking sounds from all straddle carriers. A real magical moment…
30 May 2023 - On Friday 5 May, a team of colleagues competed at the Forward Cup on the grounds of SV Groenendaal in Merksem. On Friday 26 May, we organized the second edition of the PSA Cup in the Freethiel Stadium, together with SK Beveren. At the Forward Cup, our team even made it to the finals.
19 May 2023 | The first phase of the renewal of the Europa Terminal is underway. To keep offering the same level of service during the extensive works and to continue to encourage the modal shift, a new barge quay has been constructed. Operational as of today, it is temporarily creating additional mooring space for inland navigation. The quayside and terminal upgrade, which will take about ten years, will ensure that the latest generation of container ships can continue to call at Antwerp.
12 May 2023 | PSA Belgium recently took part in the sixth edition of the Flemish Port Day, organised by the Flemish government and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Held on 7 May, the event drew more than 85,000 enthusiastic visitors from all ages, with numerous activities organised for participants in the Flemish ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge, Ostend and Ghent under a collective theme of “Innovation”.
As an important gateway for global trade, it was an excellent opportunity for PSA Belgium to showcase our terminals and the various types of jobs and careers available.
11 May 2023 | MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET), officially launched a new fully electric straddle carrier (e-straddle carrier) at its terminal in the Port of Antwerp today, as part of the joint Green Straddle Carrier Program initiated by Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS), MPET and PSA Antwerp (PSAA).
26 April 2023 | Today the technical service provider Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS) led an interactive workshop at the MPET container terminal in the port of Antwerp, to show 15 youngsters what it means to work as an engineer or technician in this highly mechanized sector. This hands-on event is part of the collaborative Repair Teens project that encourages youngsters between the ages of 12 and 14 to study STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects and seek careers in related sectors.
24 April 2023 | On Sunday April 23rd, 135 colleagues from PSA Belgium took part in the 37th edition of the popular annual running event, the Antwerp 10 Miles.
The Antwerp 10 Miles, which takes the more than 37,000 participants through Antwerp’s beautiful city centre, was a great opportunity for our PSA team to not only break personal records but also Be There and Play with their colleagues. And this year, they got to play in the rain.
