22 December 2017 | December in Belgium may have been cold, but it also experienced the most heartwarming week when donations poured in during Studio Brussels’ annual nationwide charity drive “The Warmest Week”. Bike4Fun, a group of cycling enthusiasts that included PSA/MPET/ATS employees, cycled 1,050 km; ultimately raising €8,500 from corporate sponsors including PSA.

20 December 2017 | For the last time, the famous 'Winter Concert' organized a musical program with various artist, in the beautiful setting of the Sint-Laurentius church in Antwerp. In line with our CSR year plan, we have opted for a sponsorship of €2000 and donated 40 concert tickets to underprivileged and disadvantaged people in our society. 

 

31 October 2017 |  PSA Antwerp, MPET and ATS are collaborating on the construction of three large underground storage tanks, which will be used for the collection and the storage of rainwater for the washing of terminal equipment. With these storage tanks, we expect to conserve up to 3 million litres of potable water annually. 

 

 

28 September 2017 | September… the end of the holidays, the start of the new school year. And also for us, it has been a very succesful and productive month! Thanks to the many volunteer actions, our employees were able to collect a nice amount of money for charity. With the collected funds, laptops and bicylces were purchased to donate to OCMW Youth Work.

21 September 2017 | On 20 September, our employees made their hands dirty for charity, once again. This time, our Finance department refurbished and redecorated a crisis home for OCMW Antwerpen. Crisis houses are temporary homes for people in precarious circumstances who are unable to stay in their own house for any reason.

18 September 2017 | On 17 September 2017, the four Flemish ports (Antwerp, Ghent, Ostend and Zeebrugge) jointly organized the fifth edition of the Flemish Port Day.

In Antwerp, also MPET opened the doors to the general public, giving visitors the opportunity to discover the terminal operations from 8m and from 50m height! In addition, a dedicated event area was created with drink and food stalls, as well as entertainment for kids.

6 September 2017 | Riding a bicycle; it may seem obvious, but it certainly isn't for everybody. Because also in Antwerp, many families can't afford bicycles, which means that many children don't have the opportunity to learn how to ride a bicycle. This is where the project 'A'pen op Wieltjes' makes a difference. They offer a solution for anyone interested in a children's bicycle. On 5 September 2017, PSA, MPET and ATS employees marched to A'pen op Wieltjes and handed out bicycle packages to all children present at the time.

 

5 July 2017 | Early June the employees of PSA Antwerp, MPET and ATS have set up several actions to collect funds for charity. No efforts were spared as they surpassed all expectations during the 'Charity Week': stirring the pots, offering refreshing ice cream and even a part of their wage. And successfully so, as this generated a total of 2,555 euro for OCMW Youth Work. The company doubled that amount. Representing 5,000 euro in new bicycles and computers for youngsters who are having a hard time finding their way in society.  

1 July 2017 | At PSA/MPET/ATS, we have the ambition to support our local community wherever we can, not only financially, but also with material supplies and volunteer work. In June, our staff at Willemdok joined forces to collect as many soap and other toiletry products as possible during 1 week for ‘Het zeephuisje’, part of the social welfare organization ‘Moeders voor Moeders’.  A noble act from our PSA heroes!

15 June 2017 | After a year of intensive training on the spinning bike as well as weekly on a tandem, PSA colleagues Elke Banneel and Walter Theyssens were more than ready for their long awaited climb to the top of the Mont Ventoux on a tandem bicycle. For Walter, this adventure started three years ago after the loss of a friend. At that moment he decided to organize a yearly activity to collect money for charity.
